Whenever we talk about time the words that run around our minds are the past, the present and the future…but according to me there was no past, there is no present and there will be no future as its all today. As the days pass by we tend to think that the time is changing but in reality it’s just the cycle of the planet rotating on its axis and revolving around the sun giving us the sensation that the time is changing and which they gave the name Time. So time is an observable fact set by Humans. As a person grows old he is bound to think that he has lived a long life (no doubt a long time for him at least) but growing old does not have anything to do with time, it’s just his body that has stopped working in coordination (rhythm I might add), gone weary and tired of the everyday shit. Falling sick is also no way connected with time and now you can hear me loud and all the way clear. Thousands of years ago a minority called the Mayans popped out of nowhere which worked on several futile projects that they had no clue about. As god gave them sense to utilize, they put all of their hard work in tasks that went in vain but for them they were astounding. They couldn’t survive longer than 1000 years with their senseless existence. One of their ludicrous creations is The Mayan calendar on which they claimed that the world wont go over the date 12/21/2012 and we all will have to die on this day. As this day is coming over the fear of the dooms day is creeping slowly and slowly, inch by inch into the mind of people, which is as vain as the existence of The Mayans.. According to the calculation and consideration that I had gone through for over years working day in day out along with the daily school shit (I’m eighteen), I think they were all jerks with no lives to live, that’s why their community couldn’t go longer than 1000 years (not sure about that ). Anyway, I completely agree with the opinion that the world will continue well past 2012. It seems slightly arrogant to me that anyone would proclaim that the world would end simply so they could bang their chests and feel sorry for themselves. And to presume that the world would end simply because we happen to exist during a time when it is “predicted” seems very rude and presumptuous.
Many times over the course of history people have predicted the end of the world. Needless to say, I don’t think that any of them were accurate.
That being said, I do feel as though we should do a better job of taking care of our world. You know…just so we don’t make it easier for someone to come along with a lucky guess.

The Mayans never said the world would end on 2012. Why does the calender end their then? I don’t know. But it has to end somewhere. It can’t just go on forever, otherwise there would still be some Mayan locked up in a room making it. All calenders end.
They end their calendar(Mayans that is) at each precession cycle(appr. 26000 years) or the wobble of the earth. They were so naive they thought they would be around for another 26000 years to start another one. Similar to how we change calendars each year. Their time scale was slightly longer.

Mayans never said the world will end in 2012, people saw that the calender ends in 2012 and just thought “oh well the world must end then.” Scientists have disproved all the major theories. All the Planet X believers have said the world was supposed to end before and when it didn’t they picked a different planet and said that one was “the real Planet X”. Look NASA can track years ahead of where something in space will travel, if this was real they would have found it by now, but tons of people who specialty is space have said there is no such thing.

“heaven and earth shall pass away…” Funny how many modern cosmologists concur with that statement. Google big crunch or big bounce. Energy and matter are never destroyed, per Einstein, right? If this universe is indeed destined to become a singularity again via billions and billions of super massive black holes absorbing every particle of matter, energy and light, something tells me that whatever I am at my core (a quark? An energy particle?), I will not be able to escape it. Whatever form of energy/mass that constitutes my conscious existence takes on billions of years from now (a thought in God’s mind, as it was billions of years in the past?), I desperately hope that The Good Shepherd calls it His and plucks me out of that natural cosmological cycle of big bang big crunch ad infinitum. I can’t confidently make a campfire without a Bic lighter, let alone explain where my own (or yours, for that matter) consciousness originates! Since my existence hinges on faith in the Word of God, and Christianity is the only religion wherein human beings don’t earn or behave or learn their way into everlasting life, I must personally hedge my bets with a creator and therefore Jesus Christ. If someone else freely chooses to learn and behave their way into heaven because they think they can be perfect, I say have at it. Those same fanatics must let me have at my “fanatic” need, as an imperfect IMBECILE and sinner, for a Redeemer, and let me “sin” my way through life as a free man so long as my sins aren’t crimes. Assuming there will be a judgement, I don’t want to go through my definition of hell. Consciousness/self awareness might have some sort of invisible DNA strands made of Godknowswhatium that PhD’s in quantum physics can only dream about. Consider what’s I’d assume a Big Bang would pretty much rip whatever THAT might be apart. If that crazy theory is true, whatever energy/mass constitutes my individual consciousness could become nothing more than a part of a breath of oxygen for some sentient being billions and billions and billions of years in the future. The record of my “spirit” ever having existed would be pretty much wiped out until/unless God saw fit to rearrange whatever it is that is me and provide a living shell or “soul” for me to habitate. Assuming Einstein is right and matter and energy are never destroyed, I do not want to go through that “hell”.
